A 'help me' Sub-forum or something along that line

Acid Panda

I'm sure as many notice there are so many people willing to drop all and help if some on has X or Y problem and also just as many people who get to these forums by searching for help for something and are linked here.

Maybe have a dedicated 'community tech support' that is just for problem solving and not for discussion pints like in the GPU sub forum say since there are so many instances of one time posts that appear and  are quickly solved but might block up and obscure other posts that want a discussion and not help with something.

I guess you could narrow further down for certain types of issues relating to hardware so people need not  post lots about an  issue and say can quickly go:   community tech support > GPU > Drivers > DDU or what ever other solution > How to and have guides pinned from previous posts.

Please tell me if i missed this and im just repeating what others have said. just looking at the current new threads made its $500, how to root phone. would this not reduce the potential for bloat posts despite they will get a good answer. though i know it might be a liability thing to not have this since people can be wrong with their suggestions.

look forward to replies (make sure you please read in full before replying)

Does the Troubleshooting forum not already do exactly that?

also if you look without using the search option which i bet most people would they would see the trouble shooting and go through a few pages not find what they want and then move on

that's not how you look for solutions to issues ._. you google the problem and see if any community has the same problem and see if it had a resolution

not window-shopping for solutions ._.

also an A-Z for issues and solutions is near impossible to make. the existence of looking things up on the internet vastly makes up for that without having to page 1 to page x.

i was not aiming for an a-z really more like the most common problem like driver issues. i almost every time i look at the recent thready see the same ones and its always the same answer. my main option i woild like and think this would help would be for more people to look at the common fixes like ddu. this would reduce the number of repeated posts

I refuse to help people who don't try to help themselves first.

Sorry about my spelling sometimes. My $1200 laptop has a $2 keyboard.

@VegetableStu

yes you are right but this would stop the teaching job by having a easy problem threads.

again consider Troubleshooting > GPU > (what ever problem it could be) > Solution.

or links to other threads contained within the thread maybe website if its allowable.

i'm sure if you looked at the analytics of what worlds are used for problem solving you could make a few pinned threads that would sort the problem. even that you have people when the post about the problem have they could be linked through again rather than window shopping for the solution through the forums or google.

i would always like to think i can help other with what i can. i know thats not always the case.

So while idea is good, solution would not change anything. People are lazy. If they can't find fix from few first Google results, or even from forums, they will make new thread. About half will be happy for someone just doing searching for them (aka linking to other threads with same issue), rest will need guides to be spilled for them.

The other problem is that there's really just very basic problems you could list with basic troubleshooting solutions. Like no display, high temps, high system usage, random popups in browsers. Others are more or less combinations of several things, like system configuration and installed software.
