what do you thing About Kailh Silver Speed mechanical keyswitches

i never owned a mechanical keyboard in my life, i always thought  they are way  too overpriced for a keyboard , but when i tried one i couldn't go back , so i was going to get HyperX alloy fps pro , but my friend owned alot of mechanical keyboard , in the past , he has more experience than me , he thought it was solid keyboard for the price but  when he realised it used Kailh switches he told me don't get it because it wasn't cherry mx , so what do you thing guys , are kailh switches bad ? or he just a fan boy of cherry mx's after all

Kailh are not bad, IMO even bit better than cherry.

Not using Cherry switches is generally a good thing. In this case, it's definitely a good thing. Newer, higher end Kailh switches are quite decent.

Generally, yes. IMO their "metal" switches are not.

The Kailh "speed"/"metal" switches aren't great, they're as or even more scratchy than pre-retooled (non-vint) cherry switches which is really saying alot.

Metal. Silver, gold, bronze and copper are metals.

The kailh speed/metal series are the ones that you're talking about. They're named Kailh Speed (Insert Metal Name {Copper, bronze, silver, gold})
