Which gpu for 1440p 144hz?

Tevildo

Price has to be under £550 or so. Would be good if it had good performance for the value TNI. Was thinking rtx 2069 but I don’t think it’s really a 1440p cats.

A used 1080ti is your best bet

rtx 2060 isn't going to hit 1440p 144hz maxed out settings, even a 2070 maxed out won't in most games. Your looking at 2080 or higher if you want to be at or above 144fps

I have a GTX 1080, and thats my res/hz

I have trouble getting 60+ in some games due to shitty optimization (TF2, GTA V, Wolf 2) tho

Most RTX 2070's overclock and can pretty much match a 1080ti. Mine does.

I just want fps above 100 on a 1440p monitor.

A 1080ti is rougly equal to the RTX 2080 though at stock

Just turn down the graphical settings to high, and drop shadows or other heavy effects even lower, depends on a game by game basis.

But the game probably won't look very different.

True if not a bit faster, but I thinking 2070 with an "A" chip and OC it.

Like the person above me said, quality would matter for me tbh. Getting 1440p just so games would look better and other stuff etc.

2070 and a 1080 ti are close in some games but the 1080ti beats it overall and in the majority by like 10%

Just buy a used 1080ti from ebay? There's plenty around. Or look at your local used market
