Posted April 9, 2019 Personally - I would get an ultrabook. Something along the lines of the (2018, not 2019) Razer Blade Stealth or the Dell XPS 13. While it does not meet your want for a GPU, as a school lapop it will serve you much better. I have a RBS and I can honeslty say I have no regrets. It can still do some gaming - nothing intensive - with decent frames on lower settings (and the resolution down to 1920x1080 - it still looks wonderful however) Bow down to me humans. I can't help if you don't quote me. How am I supposed to know if you need my premium support? Now starting at £399.99 a year. Also, be a sport and mark the correct answer as the correct answer. It will help pour souls in the future when they are stuck and need guidance. "If it works, proceed to take it apart and 'make it work better.' Then cry for help when it breaks." - Me, about five minutes ago when my train of thought wandered. Remember kids, A janky solution is still a solution. Posted April 9, 2019 It succ to have gaming laptop for school, (i have tried it) it is heavy, it has poor battery, but it has the power, but ultrabook will be still more than enough for school( i am personally doing programming so i am getting macbook pro 13") But any other ultrabook will be better than gaming laptop - dell xps 13, blade stealth, lenovo carbon or macbook( if macOS isn't your enemy..) btw. even lot of graphics on my school are jusing just 13" version of macbook that doesn't have dedicated gpu and still can made 3D modeling and everything they need. Ultrabook is better at everything.
Posted April 9, 2019 Huawei Matebook 13 or the 14 (coming soon) will give you ultrabook formfactor with a small dGPU (mx150/250) for light gaming. Gaming laptops is not something you really want for school.

Posted April 11, 2019 If you're wanting to max your budget, you have many options. However if you are looking to save some money on something that can still game, you could consider the ACER Nitro 5. There are several options in that series that can fit to your needs. Weight range from 2kg-2.7kg Some reviews mention the AMD version of this laptop runs at a lower TDP and not as hot meaning the battery lasts longer too as less power is consumed. https://www.notebookcheck.net/Acer-Nitro-5-Series.252338.0.html CPU Intel® Core i9 9900K 8 Core 16 Threads Motherboard ASUS® ROG Strix Z390-E Memory (RAM) 32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB Graphics Card MSI RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio 1st Drive 500GB Samsung 970 EVO NVME 2nd Drive 1TB Samsung 970 EVO NVME 3rd Hard Disk 480GB KINGSTON HYPERX 3K SSD, SATA 6 Gb/s (upto 540MB/sR | 450MB/sW) 4th Hard Disk 2TB 3.5" SEAGATE SSHD, SATA 6Gb/s 7200 RPM 5th Hard Disk 2TB 3.5" SEAGATE SSHD, SATA 6Gb/s 7200 RPM Power Supply CORSAIR 850W RM SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET Processor Cooling Corsair H150i Pr 360mm AIO Case: Lian Li O11 Air
