Is it really that bad for a T processor? I found a decent deal for it here. Like 250ish USD with mobo and 4gb ram.

I'm using one in an HTPC that's rarely called into duty for stuff like Overwatch and Skyrim. It's fine for my purposes. The biggest knock against it is that you can underclock a 6700 to the same power consumption levels.

At $250 with a mobo and 4GB of RAM included, it's not a bad deal, although I'd probably want a Z170 board for that price.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

The board not being a Z170 wouldn't be a dealbreaker. At that price, I'd want something more than the lowest-end H110 or B150 boards with no VRM cooling, minimal USB 3.0 connectivity, that sort of thing. I'm not 100% sold on a 6700T with only 4GB of RAM and an unknown motherboard at that price, but if it's a decent B150, B250, H170 or H270 board, it might be worthwhile. Do you know the model of the board?

That's a terrible purchase. I wouldn't pay more than $70 for that combination.

Dont know your prices there, but consider this for HTPC,

ryzen 2200g + cheapest b450mobo + 8gb ddr ram

using this as baseline price/perf for the deals you can find.

and anything below that... just get a raspberry pi.

Ah. I feel your pain and can't really help much, unfortunately. If you throw some possible combos up here, I can guide you towards the best one (as can others).

Throw the price up there too. We can tell you objectively that, for example, an i7-6700T/Z170 combo is better than an i3-6100/H110 combo, but if the i7 combo is going for $300 and the i3 combo is going for $100, well, then we would have to start asking how badly you need that i7, because the i3 is much better value at those prices.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

Well I don't have a reason to have a I3 over a I7. I think a B250 board and i7 is fine either way, I mean like I will not oc it or make use of those extra stuff except USB maybe or Network.

nvm i could get a 2200g or 3 1200 with B450, 8gb 2666mhz (cause its acteally have a difference in price now) the same price as that (buying seperately). ok i can buy the 3000mhz but single channel which can give me a ram of total 64gb (B450 Pro 4)

I'd go with a 2200G over the 1200. Any B450 board, regardless of how janky the VRMs and VRM cooling, can overclock a 2200G pretty easily and pretty far with the stock cooler.

The RAM is a tougher question for me. If you're going to be using the 2200G's built-in graphics, I'd almost take the 2666 and overclock it to 2800/3000 if you can. Dual channel is very important for Ryzen iGPUs. If you're going to use a dedicated GPU, I'd probably go with the single channel faster RAM.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

no no i will have a gpu probably when i buy 2200g. yeah i know how important that is dual channel but there's some choices that is avaible ATM. oh yeah i probably forgot to tell you, i plan on buying these stuff after Zen 2 Release (i think the prices will go down in like 1 Week or even can take a month so i will have to see that myself).

I had both a 7700t and 6700t. I really did not like ether. The single core performance was not all to good. But they are good for low powered SFF and HTPCs

But if you can get those parts for around 200$ Id go for it.

i probably want a SSF/ITX PC cause probably i will move around a lot (like moving it for holiday, and stuffs)
