Endgame tickets crashes Cineplex Site (largest theatre chain in Canada)

dalekphalm

So Avengers Endgame tickets finally went on sale today. And then immediately after, the Cineplex website crashed. Cineplex is the largest Canadian movie theatre chain.

I ended up getting tickets just a few minutes ago - but it took a good 20 minutes to go through the normal 60 second checkout process. Anyone else going on the Advanced Thursday, or opening night Friday show for it?

Looks like I'll be avoiding the internet for the next month to avoid any form of Endgame spoilers.

Might wanna install an Endgame Spoiler protection extension on your browser. Don't know if anyone's made one yet, but they're pretty common. They filter out text (keywords usually) to help you avoid an accidental spoiler.

I'm the opposite. I usually go watch a movie when it's about to get pulled from theatres, haha.

I'm going on the 24th but yeah, the only time I had more technical problems with refreshing a ticket site was when I was going to see "Hamilton".

Less crowds *shrugs* not a bad system to use, as long as you don't accidentally wait too long lol.

For movies I'm really looking forward to (Endgame, Ep 9, etc) I tend to see them opening night.

I have a year's pass to my cinema that cost me about 140 USD and with tickets costing about 8-10 USD each (depending on the date) and with my tendency to go to the cinema a lot, I usually see those movies opening night and then again few days later with different people - as of this month those tickets are essentially free :D

If my cinema offered such a thing, I might well have purchased it too.
