Mac os Sierra on really old Mac.

Hey, so I was going to set up air message on my phone, but I know that you need a Mac that can run iMessage. I will not buy a used Mac mini, but I do have two old Macs. One is an old PowerBook g4, and the other is I think an old powermac. Whatever the desktop is, both of them run Mac os 10.1. is there anyway for me to install Sierra? I know that both of these Macs aren't that fadt, but all I need them to do is run iMessage. Also on a side note, I have a really hard time getting the PowerBook to post, and if I can get it to post, it always freezes while on os loading screen while the apple logo is showing, or very soon after being plopped on the desktop. If am am really lucky, the Mac will last for at least 30 mins maybe longer and will be nice and fast. The Mac has a clean install of Mac os, and a brand new motherboard, as well as,(at least I think) a new HDD. Sometimes when the Mac is starting and freezes before the screen comes on the fans will rev all the way up.

No, MacOS dropped support for PowerPC CPUs is version 10.6.x so you'll need newer hardware to run anything beyond Snow Leopard.

Those systems are way to old for sierra. You need intel macs for imessage, those are limited to 10.5 as there powerpc.

Why not get a mac mini for i message?

No, PowerPC based Macs cannot run anything past 10.5. Those machines are obsolete.
