60+ FPS on 60Hz monitor

All you're doing by running above your monitors refresh rate is wasting GPU resources by rendering frames you'll never use and filling your GPU frame buffer with garbage.

 

Not that 1080p60 should be at all taxing to a GPU these days.

So I was wondering, does more than 60fps makes any difference on 60hz monitor?

No..lots of screen tearing is what will happen

Well If you are playing BF V and DMC 5 on a gtx 1060 3gb believe me it is.

if it is then you shouldnt be worry about it exceeding.60FPS
