Rtx 2080ti underperfroming?

I have 2 computers with 2080 tis.

 

My i7 8700k stock would bottleneck the 2080 ti at 1080p and 1440p. My i7 8086k at 5ghz on all cores didn't.

 

I think a 5ghz chip is needed not to bottleneck a 2080 ti. 

 

You are not taking full advantage of your 2080 ti. My EVGA XC averages 1965mhz and my EVGA FTW3 averages 2055mhz.  

The XC does run hot but does not throttle.

Turn the fans up to 100%.

 

Your card isn't boosting fully, take the side off the case and run it again and post the link.

Had a similar issue with the exact same card. All I had to do to fix the issue was reinstall nvidia drivers, and reinstall aorus engine. This may solve your problem.

Still boosting to 1875Mhz.

 

I would look into replacing the PSU with a good quality unit.

 

The one you have isn't good.

 

Something from Tier A+ or S for that Graphics card.

why is that? the card was on 56 degrees tops and I thought GPU boost 2.0 boosts your card if there is  temp headroom

I don't think your PSU is good enough, it's not a good one.

 

Get something from Tier A+ or S and 750W.

Doesn't matter, the quality isn't there.

 

It's a low end PSU quality wise.

 

It's equal to the quality to the crap they put in prebuilt PC's.

 

You need a high quality PSU.

I would stop messing with it until you get a new PSU, you are putting your graphics card and or system at risk.

I would say a Corsair RMX 750W or EVGA G2 750W, or Corsair RMi 750W or EVGA P2 750W.

 

Unless you go with the highest end then the Seasonic Prime or Corsair AXI.
