Wired internet is just about always superior, more reliable and usually nice and quick. If you do need WiFi, a USB 3.0 adapter is the bare minimum for gaming, with PCIe being recommended. If you get a motherboard with built in WiFi, the quality can vary greatly.

Definitely do not get a USB 2.0 WiFi adapter, unless your budget is $5

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Powerline adapters have always provided me with better ping compared to wireless and are more reliable in my experience.

Internet speeds are not that important, games do not use a lot of bandwidth. Latency matters much more.

Wired gives you the best (lowest) latency as said above. Powerline can work as well, but is prone to interference (can vary). Wireless comes third.

Powerline adapters are great and much better than wifi when they work. It runs the signal through your electrical wiring in your house so it sometimes wont work or not work well if the wiring is old or if the path the signal has to travel is super complex or connected to outlets with appliances that cause alot of electrical interference. Powerline adapters are much better now so it isn't as much of an issue as it used to be but it is still good to note that it isn't perfect for all situations. When it does work it is basically just like running ethernet to your computer.
