That seems low for even a PC person.... and I'm not doing for people that can build there own PC. I'm try to keep people from being ripped off at Walmart for a "i3" gaming pc.

then add a few hundo to it

just find the price of a similar spec machine

then reduce your price to be lower than that so people have a reason to buy yours and not theirs

400 is a bit low IMO. i7 6700ks often go up for sale on eBay, craigslist, etc for around $250 (personally don't think its worth that consider Ryzen prices, but people still buy it), and the GTX 970 will be around $100-$150 (any more than that and you're better off buying a RX580). Depending on the motherboard in it, obviously a Z series board, that might be worth another $100+ (older 2nd hand motherboards are often expensive since they're hard to find and need replacing when peoples boards die)

So, more than $400. But it would need to be less than the ~$750 that someone could spend on a brand new Ryzen 2600(x) + RX 580 8GB system.
Maybe advertise it around $600 and see if anyone is interested?

Why would price be high if no-one was buying them and supply was high? Market forces dictate that the price would go down.
I think $250 for a 6700k is too high, especially when you can get a 8c/16t Ryzen 2700 for less.

I don't know where you are but an i7 6700k where i am costs $450 bucks. And that gpu is around $250-350

If i were u (and u were where i live) i'd be selling it for close to $1k.

(i'm in Australia btw)

They said USD, so I'm guessing America, or is at least referring to prices in USD. $1000 AUD is about $700 USD. Also prices for PCs/PC parts in Australia is a little bit higher than stuff in USA, mainly due to 10% GST and other various market reasons.

Might not be a bad idea to advertise it for $650 then. You're always going to get people who will want to haggle prices down when selling things used on markets like craigslist and whatnot, so sometimes it's better to increase the price a little bit over what you expect to get for it. If you put it up for $650 and someone offers you $600 for it then I'd probably take it. If someone is happy to buy it for the $650 advertised price, then brilliant!

Partially based on what other people have been saying here, I'd start it off at around $700, the lower the price down to no lower than $600 if nobody buys it at $700.

That's what I'm thinking. It has a z270 motherboard so there is a possible upgrade. So start 700 and go down to a minimum of 600?
