What do I buy

Hi guys, I'm going to upgrade my PC soon and I'm wondering what CPU do I get, do I get the ryzen 5 1600 for £130 or go up to the 1700 for £140 because I don't have much money this cpu will ne paired with an rx570

Any used options? High end CPUs lose value like crazy but almost never fail

Not really as I already have a ryzen compatible board however, I'm using a athlon x4 950

You don't want an 8-core Ryzen on that board. Personally, I would worry with a 6-core too.

The PSU should be fine.

As for the board I already have this one for now and if I get a new CPU and gpu I cant upgrade it

Right okay, the thing is if I got the 7 I could get a new board around Christmas as regardless of what I get it'll still be better than an athlon right?

just don't expect anything overclockable with a series

 

or maybe even power trottle, haven't tried a 1700/a320 combo

Yea I was then looking at an aurous b450 board around xmas as they are overclocking and compatible with 2nd gen ryzen

yes and no

 

they have PART of it, but the imo most important part of a b350/b450 is the overclocking part and the vrms needed for it

 

which none of them have

yeah, with both it's around a 1060 3gb, so it's a solid card on the budget

 

for the good rx 570 cards, i refer you to the (also recently released) graphics card (cooling) tier list
