Installed new CPU, PC wont turn on.

MatthewH

Just installed my brand new i5-8400 into my Gigabyte GA-H110M-A and my PC turns on for a second, fans start spinning, and then turns back off. I put my old i3 back in and then updated the BIOS. Still the same outcome. No bent pins, connections are fine.

Any help would be nice. Please PC community, put your bigger brains than the one I have together and help me.

That mobo doesn't support that CPU.

It does not support that CPU

It's not a race to the bottom.

Well shit

It happens, dont worry. But you will need a different MoBo if you want to use that CPU.
