Check my build before I buy everything

avillabon

Im not the most savy when it comes to building pcs but after many days reading I've landed on this build. I want to make sure everything makes sense and plays well together. Any comments or suggestions are more than welcome. FYI the parts that appear as $0 is because I already own them from my current pc. In case it helps, Im close to a microcenter :)

By the way, do I need thermal paste?

Because im buying the i7 at microcenter the it is 319 and the mobo is reduced to 159 for buying both components there. Seems like a no brainer.

Woah... No need to get defensive. But ok. Thanks for your input.

Edit: I've now corrected the post to show those prices. I had just copied the default from pcpartpicker before.

It doesn't need 2 cpu connectors.

It is compatible. You only need to connect one 8 pin cpu.

When you set up the motherboard, you will need to reinstall the Realtek HD audio drivers. They do not work out of the box. Audio will work on the rear IO shield, but you need to install the drivers to get the HD Audio header to work that runs the audio jacks on your case. Enjoy. :)
