I'm having a hard time deciding on if i should get a  AORUS X Hybrid  or the lightning Z card. Gbyte card has better tempts but is on a 366W bios and the lightning is on a 380w bios which i also see people getting from 60~ to 84~C. is there a clear winner between these 2? can the Gigabyte card use another vbios to get 380W or higher since i can't find any specific vbios for it other than to the windforce?  all in all i see both cards get to around 2Ghz is there really much performance difference between them, should i just go for what gets the coolest temps and is the quietest at this point ?

If they are very similar in performance, then the gigabyte one is likely more efficient since it remains cooler. Therefore, that's likely better. However, fan noise is also a factor. What are the prices for each of these cards for you?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Well, then I think the only factor is case real estate. The hybrid card having a radiator means you have to consider mounting, but if that doesn't matter to you then it's likely the better buy. Two large fans vs 3 small fans is probably quieter.

This is more of a case, do I want AiO or air cooling?

I think I'd get the Gigabyte, that card looks pretty dope even if I have always only used air cooling. If I'd buy a 2080 Ti  I would probably go with the water blocked one and make the hassle to water cool it properly, that card is insane beautiful.

Mount it on sideways, for extra PCMR glory, should overclock really well considering nowadays power limits are as meaning as temperatures, Turbo Boost 3.0 only cares about temperatures and overclocks are really depended on it with nvidia since Pascal.

Both really arent worth it, the price is insane and honestly, if you get a regular one triple fan, youll get 98% of the performance.

You could do it as the Trio is 98% of the Lightning except for the power mods, but honestly just be careful with certain bios. Just makes sure its legit :D

a hybrid is almost guaranteed to have lower temps than an air cooler, and with boost 3.0 thats worth more than a silicon lottery dice roll on the lightning z (watch jay's video)
