I think right now is just a terrible time to buy.

 

Wait until summer for Ryzen 3000 chips. The move to 7nm is looking to be very significant, as AMD likely will match or beat Intel in single thread performance while also shipping 16 core consumer chips.

Thats my advice.

 

Unless ur in particular need for more cores, and/or are trying to push 144fps+ and are running out of CPU grunt, there is no need to upgrade. You unlikely to see any meaningfull difference in performance.

 

If you have not already, overclock.

I overclocked it to 4.7ghz.
