Well its the internet, there is no line to be drawn, that's why people like it.

If you want lines to be drawn then i suggest you look to China for that, they draw alot of lines, some bad and some good so ya, there is competition. Just need to know where to look like: Baidu, Tudou and such.

Was thinking about that... Anyone ever watch the old 1932 movie 'Freaks"? No?

Cute kids right?
Yeah well these "Kids" in are Harry Earles, and Daisy Earles. They were about 30, and 25 years old, and with 2 other sisters were often called "The Doll Family". Apparently they looked just like little kids until they were in their 50s.

We all know how well the AI works at this point.  YouTube likely can't depend on its algorithms to detect comments of that particular nature so killing comments altogether is likely safer.  Same goes for the monetization.  Without a way to track and actively lessen that concerning that particular undesirable element from the platform though, it feels like another step towards killing YouTube financially, albeit a small one.

I mean, imagine if the algorithms could be trained enough to differentiate between innocent videos and salacious videos, innocent comments and those types of comments.  You'd almost have to train the algorithm to be socially-conscious in order to be remotely close to effective.  If you could do that...why waste your programming know-how on YouTube?
