Recently, I got a cable for my GPU fans. It's a GPU 2 pin mini connector to fan 3 pin connector. The connectors fit perfectly but the fans still aren't spinning when I turn on the PC.

(Read this for the full story)

I searched on google to try and find the answer and somewhere I found out I need to check the bios.

The thing is; I can't enter the bios. It says I need to click on escape, so I do, but still can't get in.

But I think it's because the keyboard isn't activated since the lights only turn on when Windows opens. Also, my headphones make a little beep sound when they connect to a device. When I turn on my PC it makes a beep twice but the first one is after the bios message pops up.

I have opened the bios before when I had a different keyboard so I tried another keyboard. Same problem.

to get in the bios you just hit the delete key or escape key, and the reason the fans wouldnt be working is because you dont have them plugged right

They're plugged in securely and I hit the escape key as it says I need to do.

If you're using Windows 8 or 10:

  • Open the Settings app
  • Go to "Update and Security" (or whatever it's called)
  • Go to "Troubleshooting"
  • In the "Advanced Startup" section, press the "Restart Now" button
  • When you get to a menu, select "Troubleshoot", then "Advanced Options", then "UEFI Firmware Settings"

The PC should boot to your firmware settings page.

Yeah, it sounds like you didn't plug the cable in properly. Either that you one of your cables or fans is messed up. Doesn't sound like too much of a bios thing to me.

I get you but I don't think it's the cables. I tried pushing them all the way in and making sure they're securely connected

Tried this but when I get into the troubleshooting menu I couldn't find UEFI Firmware Settings. The one that looked most likely was one called startup settings. When I came in it asked for some issues I wanted help on but I weren't apple to click on them since I needed to use my keyboard

I have a program from Asus that takes me directly to bios if I’m in windows. May work for other boards or they may have similar software.
