I just switched over to AMD

Shayannike.ps3

Hey there I bought my sapphire nitro+ rx 580 4GB from amazon a few days ago after my GTX 970s PCIe board got f***ed from sagging ?. So i managed to cop a 580 off amazon itself for 120 bucks NEW!! anyways i wanted to know how y'all put up the adrenaline software its wack af. like the overlays are laggy as hell and like Radeon chill is actually increasing my frametimes and its super annoying and dont even get me started with enhanced sync cuz its actually worst than V-Sync. Is it just me or are these so called features the problem to my hitches? is anyone else having these problems and also am there two drivers on AMDs website which one do I download the optional or the one below it? Do I keep Radeon Chill enabled? is Enhanced sync any good or am I delusional?

Use the newer one (19.2.3). Did you use DDU to uninstall the old video drivers first? As for stuff that are causing you troubles, just turn them off. Chill in particular is a slowing down function designed to help with power draw and noise levels, not performance

Overlays have never really been laggy for me other than the first time opening the alt-z menu after a reboot or something. Had 0 issues with just locking vertical sync, and I wouldn't reccomend Radeon Chill. Did you read what it does? And I personally always go with the optional but if you're having issues try the 19.1.1, you don't have something like a Radeon VII so the absolute latest isn't necessary.

I am using this driver rn LOL. I obliterated my last hard disk's (WD 3TB black series) sata pins so i just got new hard drives 2 1TB WD blue + 860 evo so the Nvidia drivers aren't present at all. however my intel vga drivers are still on my system as i got my GPU after using my pc without a GPU for a week. Also I did yes experimentally use DDU to uninstall 19.2.2 for 19.2.3. but even 19.2.2 I was having problems. you think its cuz of my intel vga drivers?

Oh shoot dawgg FR? KK i've tried them both but the thing that bugs me the most with the 19.1.1 is that it keeps recommending the same 19.1.1 drivers to be installed idk wtf is going on with that

By reading the manual for example.

But for old nVidia users, the modern Design and shit ton of settings might be somewhat confusing, as you're used to what's basically a Windows 98 Control panel with just minimal neccessary changes...

Yes, and? It has Overlays

It has a monitoring App for your Phone.

You don't on the other side...

Did you actually read what it does?!

Its to decrease power consumption by reducing the framerates when you are not inputting stuff. SO it waits for your input.

Its just you because you're looking for hairs in soups...

Nope, no Problems on my end. But I only use AMD since forever when they used the big colored buttons back in the day and also used the old Catalyst Control Center - both versions.

Usually the Optional is the way to go for Gamers.

Probably not for competitive shooters.

But for Strategy Games and some other, mostly single player Games maybe.

No idea, never really used it. I use Freesync on my unsupported Screen (well seems 40-60Hz works)...
