DenTechs

Hi all!

I currently have a 660 ti that I bought a few years ago and was wondering, should I get sli, or just get another, better, gpu later?

Do you still play the games of that cards era? I had them and they performed quite well for those games. As long as they weren’t high res and memory hungry.

Is that a mining card? Who the hell makes a gaming card with just a DVI output in 2019?

Probably some OEM card or somesuch.

If you are strapped for cash, then it's hard to argue $99 and you probably only use one monitor anyway.

It will also blow away the 660 in SLI

I don't disagree, but if it turns up with a mining BIOS or something crazy like that, it puts the OP in the middle of a migraine. If it has a gaming BIOS, yeah, the single DVI is livable.

If it had a mining bios, I don't think it would even have a DVI out

Also, reviews seem to indicate it's just a regular bios for gaming use.

Someone was making mining cards that had a single DVI out. I'll have to poke around sometime when I care (so never), but if it comes with a gaming BIOS and is intended for gaming, then yeah, it's a great deal at $99.

No just get a new GPU. RX 570's are going for dirt cheap these days (~$150 if you know where to look) and will be much, much, much faster than even the best case scenario with 660ti SLI.

Main System: EVGA GTX 1080 SC, i7 8700, 16GB DDR4 Corsair LPX 3000mhz CL15, Asus Z370 Prime A, Noctua NH D15, EVGA GQ 650W, Fractal Design Define R5, 2TB Seagate Barracuda, 500gb Samsung 850 Evo
Secondary System: EVGA GTX 780ti SC, i5 3570k @ 4.5ghz, 16gb DDR3 1600mhz, MSI Z77 G43, Noctua NH D15, EVGA GQ 650W, Fractal Design Define R4, 3TB WD Caviar Blue, 250gb Samsung 850 Evo

I believe that having only a DVIportbhelped cut down cost, and with the price range they were aiming for it wouldn't be a surprised if people were still using anolog connections.
