I'm an absolute idiot. Help me please.

Tofu Neil

Just got my parts for my new build today and was installing cpu cooler onto mobo. (Cryorig C7 onto Asrock H310). Me being the absolute idiot I am I put the fastening screws on before the bracket. They are currently stuck. Any help?

either get a wrench that fits the threaded portion  that coming out the front or use a firm grip with a pliers

then take a pliers or another wrench and unscrew it from the back side.

no luck ? Is there a way I can cut the screw entirely at this point I'm happy to use the stock cooler.

? how tight did you screw that thing down

is the ends stripping out?

not tight at all, the bottom screw won't move up or down but will fasten and unfasten, but still can't take off.

do you have a small screw driver that you can shove between the piece you are trying to take off. adding a little pressure to one end will allow the threads to catch

The picture is clear enough to see the thread is galled / crossed. Probably need to cut.
