Trade my Phone?

TechSage

There is a girl in my Psychology class that dropped her Nexus 5 two times within 2 minutes. First time it was okay, second time it shattered. I have the Galaxy Nexus, so I told her I would trade, she said yes. So now, should I trade (my phone is completely normal).

Now I need to know, how much would it cost to repair?  I don't want more than $150...she thinks it will cost $300+ so I'll let her think that.

The screen is $215/shipped. So, if you were to get someone to do it her original thought of $300 probably isn't that far off.

If you do it yourself, it might be worth it.
Here's the guide.

I'm a tech enthusiast, while she just breaks stuff. She got the phone for $30 after all the credit she had lying around. She doesn't even care that it broke.

You have to replace the whole front of the phone, including the digitizer ,the screen and the front plastic housing. This will cost you about 220USD to get it from amazon, so if you have that Much to spend then I guess you got a nexus 5 for just 220usd.

I dropped mine and cracked the screen too. But I'm not going to fix it, coz then I would have spend over 500 for the whole phone. No thanks I'll get a new phone.

But in your case since you have not spend any money on it I would think its a good value

Edit: it even less than what it was before. Its about 170 now on amazon.com
