According to the Guardian, a British newspaper, the NSA collects 200mill text msgs a day globally. Code named Dishfire, the NSA program collects "pretty much everything it can," the Guardian said, citing a joint investigation with the UK's Channel 4 News based on material from Snowden

 

The paper also said that there are documents that show the British spy agency GCHQ had used the NSA database to search metadata of "untargeted and unwarranted" communication b/w people in the UK itself.

 

A 2011 NSA presentatin titled SMS Text Messages: A Goldmine to Exploit", the Guardian says the program collected 194 million texts a day in April of that year. U.S. President Barack Obama is scheduled to announce reforms on Friday to NSA eavesdropping programs, prompted by disclosures from Snowden.

well i dont use SMS anyways cuz what app and that they are stupidly unreliable when you need to talk about something slightly important whit someone but still this is insane
