LTT store question...

Go to solution Solved by LinusTech,

The discounts for contributors are a bit random. I just key in discount levels.

As for the 3970X processors, they are brand new. Everything else (unless it specifically says brand new) is a review sample that we don't need for further benchmarking.

Wait so is the hardware being sold in the LTT store stuff they the LMG have lying around? The description for the Mars 760 says it is a review sample so that means that is the model sent to them by ASUS and they want to get rid of it now.

I won't bother linking anything on account of the new store tab just added by the website gods.

Pretty much. Samples work just fine and you know, why not, get something at a discount. It will eventually grow into something different.

1. Why is the 3970X so damn cheap? did they fry it or what? It sells for double the money, new, in germany.

2. Why isn't there an option for direct withdrawl yet? I don't have a credit card but want to do the Bronze Contribution.

who cares...

Most of them are samples though, so you won't get warranty or even original packaging. Cables also not included usually.

It's $200 more than what they're selling for in USA so it's because you're in Germany.

$200... more like $400 off and a clock boost

That's a 3960X. LTT is selling a 3970X, but your argument stays the same. :D I don't get it. But still, nobody buys it. :P

Treat them as OEM eg. No box, no accessories etc. They are also used and tested so that will lower the price further, not to mention if you donate you get money off store purchases, I believe Bronze is $10, silver is $25 and gold is $50.

Thanks for the clarification. The forum users said essentially the same thing but its always best to hear from the guy himself.

Where do I find the shipping prices?

Shipping will have to be quoted on a per item basis after you check out.

If you want to get a ballpark you can enter the approximate weight of the item in Purolator's shipping calculator. It will ship out of Richmond, BC.

Yes the Titan is generally more expensive than the 780 too, it's still a $200 cheaper processor not $400, but either way...
