Hey there people, there's this person who has been sending me messages on whatsapp, and I want to ask, is there any way to enter whatsapp WITHOUT the person seeing when I was last online? Thanks! I don't want to block her, just not let her see I'm online?

You can disable that option in the WhatsApp options, but you'll have to open it first... :mellow:

If I disable wifi and open whatsapp will that work? And what is the option?

You can only disable on the Iphone, I believe there are apps to block it on Android.

 

Alternatively you can turn on aeroplane mode I think then view it.

So if I enable flight mode and view it, it's considered read, but whatsapp wont show I was online?

I don't think so, you couldn't possibly be sending any data, it might resend when you reconnect though.

 

So it might be better to go with one of the last seen blocking apps if you are on Android.

You should be okay, I think this is exactly what the hide last seen apps do anyway.

 

In fact I think aeroplane mode might even be slightly better. I have noticed the odd time if you just disable mobile data and wifi, it can sometimes still connect very briefly, with aeroplane mode it locks down the phone completely.
