Is this a driver issue in Windows 10 or is my DIY xbox receiver broken

So i built a DIY xbox 360 controller receiver for windows as shown here: https://www.se7ensins.com/forums/threads/how-to-make-a-homemade-xbox-360-controller-wireless-receiver-for-pc.668839/ with my broken xbox. i believe i soldered everything correctly, i even checked if the cable is gud with a multi meter and it works. my problem is when i connect it to my Windows 10 PC it detects as an unknown device and when i install this driver from Microsoft : https://www.microsoft.com/accessories/en-my/d/xbox-360-wireless-controller-for-windows it gives me an error saying im trying to install drivers of a different architecture. but the drivers i downloaded were 64 bit and my pc is 64 bit. so there isnt any issue there. i did check many videos on YouTube and to all of them these steps here : https://www.se7ensins.com/forums/threads/how-to-make-a-homemade-xbox-360-controller-wireless-receiver-for-pc.668839/  work. Any suggestions to try would be very helpful, thanks.

first of all, you are either using VERY old version of windows or some other version (such as education etc) because that link I sent ya in one of your 20 previous threads about this topic should have fixed that unknown driver issue and that list where you pick the driver should have been populated.

the previous thread was for a Microsoft receiver and later i found out that it was broken. so i gave up on that and built my own one from my broken xbox. I'm running Windows 10 Home single language and im having second thoughts if i should update because my laptop isn't a very powerful one and so far from my experience updating windows ruin stuff more than fixing anything.
