No problem, that's a good boost, you won what is called the Silicone Lottery on that GPU.  Can probably overclock well.

cool. I still get really bad frames on most games than my friends and others with the same specs

Use DDU to completely wipe drivers and then reinstall latest normal (not DCH) drivers from Nvidia's website. Then check to make sure that the core clock is at max speed while gaming. Also check your Fortnite settings that the 3D resolution is set to 100%. Make sure that the frame rate limit is on Unlimited and that V-Sync is OFF. 

i just played a couple games of fortnite with DWInfo on the side of the screen and my GPU core load was only getting 50-60%.... Is there a fix for this?

That is really bad, it should be above 95%. What are your CPU Utilizations during gaming?
