2 Gamers, One Pc

So I am up stairs and my brother is downstairs and he can not game on his laptop,

we do not have network setup.

 

is there any way to run 2 users accounts on my pc at once? 

how would i go about making it happen? 

he has an hdmi tv

Not super easily. You can use multipoint software with the array of issues, or make vms, with the hardware support needed. Its normally cheaper and easier to buy a second cheap pc.

This is possible, you'd just need a fairly beefy computer.
If I remember right ltt made a video about it waaaaaaay back.

Would be cheaper and better experience to just buy a cheap computer, like used parts off ebay.

Just add a network switch to the router if you need to for the second system. How does your PC connect to the router then?

i do not have a router i use my phone for internet, So the general consensus is get another pc ? I have a second graphics card, couldn't i get a 15ft lan cable, hdmi cable, and usb extender? run all the cables down through the ceiling? its only about 15ft with slack... After that setup a second account on my pc and have 2 windows accounts running at the same time?

You won't be able to do what you want straight through Windows itself.

 

That is, unless you want to wipe your PC and install Windows Multi-Point server.

 

You'd need either Multi-Point Server, or a Virtual Machine Hypervisor (like unRAID, ESXi, Proxmox, etc).

 

If you already have a 2nd GPU, then you've already got the most expensive part of a 2nd PC. I'd highly suggest going on Craigslist/Kijiji (or local equivalent) or eBay, and picking up a used workstation, and slap the GPU in - or pickup some dirt cheap parts and build your own, while using that 2nd GPU.

You can easily share network between 2 pcs by making a virtual switch on your pc.

my setup is for 4k gaming and the other will be 1080p setup... so basically either way i need a second system ?
