My IP has been banned from my website?

DevilsHand676

It seems like a website has banned my ip for some reason. I try to connect to it and every time it says that the connection has timed out. I have tried incognito mode and different web browsers. The only time I can get to it is with my phone or using a vpn. Is there any fix to this?

This is a problem because I am responsible for adding things to the website and can't do that without being able to load it or any other page in that domain

You'd probably have the most luck contacting the websites support team instead of asking us here. Is it possible you or someone living with you did something to get banned from the site?

A quick check to see if it's a DNS issue and not your IP could be to change your DNS settings or trying in the Run command: ipconfig /flushdns

Then it looks like you're gonna have to bother the site admin.

Could also be a issue with the connection type, might be old TLS 1.0 that the browser just times out.

If an IP address is banned, could the isp do something to help?

If you are accessing your website to modify, there should be a Control Panel link by your hosting company.

I actually had some .php virus on my site and Google flagged it and took forever for Google to take the flag off.

Possibly (although not all ISPs like to change their users IP address) but if they do not know WHY they were banned in the first its likely to happen again.

I had this myself with a forum, they had to put an exception in for my IP address so I was excluded from the spam filter.  This could be tricky if their IP ever changes though.

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)
WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)
Upgrading Laptop/Desktop CNVIo WiFi 5 cards to PCIe WiFi6e/7
