dude just exchange it for another one and dont take no for an answer, call your credit card company also they will fight for you. dont even say dead pixel say "theres a broken piece inside the panel destroying the picture" be polite but firm

This is exactly the same thing that has appeared on my monitor which is interestingly the same as the OP's (Model: C49HG90). I had a feeling that it wasn't actually pixels from the way the mouse moved underneath it. 

 

I am just in the process of getting Samsung to collect and repair so fingers crossed.
