A400 or MX500 SSD?

The MX500 is significantly better.

They are about the same price, the A400 is slightly more and has 20gb less storage. not sure whats the beter choice, this will be my new boot SSD for Linux :)

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

As for why, the A400 is DRAMless so yeah...

MX500 all day long. If I remember correctly the A400 had problems with the flash chips.

interesting, its been nice and snappy in the Toaster and did decently in the benchmarks i ran against my M.2 SSD(wish i had an M.2 slot and that i could boot from NVME on my motherboard :(). never noticed it was DRAM less

good to know, it was very tempting untill i saw the MX500 for cheaper as i like the one i have in the Toaster
