Tutorial for new comers? and limit to General Discussion?

Okay, this sounds like a long shot but I can't stand seeing people that post in the wrong sub-forum, posting stuff against that is against community standards. Would a Tutorial be shown to new members, like what to do and what not to do?

The reason is why I am asking is every sub-forum is just full of stuff that doesn't belong there and it annoys me for some reason. Majority of the new members (and some old) members just place everything in the General Discussion. Can't there be a limit just like the classifieds? You have have number of posts before posting so nothing gets put in the wrong place?

tutorial would be nice, might keep some bots away if they have to click through that too

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

What about having limitations on General Discussion? What are your thoughts on that?

depends on what it would entail really. if its a limit on whats allowed to be posted there in general then i dont like it, but if its just a "you cant make your first post there" thing then maybe?

Well with the help of the tutorial, it could lessen the amount of incorrect stuff being put there. As for limitation, why not make it the same as the classifieds? 100 posts, that why it'll make everything better.

Simpler idea, just put general discussion at the bottom of the page so that newbs dont see that first and post there. Just like how BOINC/Folding stuff was at top for a long time and now its at the bottom and that subforum is getting a lot less traffic since then?
