DogeCoin Wallet issue

I have been mining dogecoins for 2 weeks, and just came across a problem, and had to redownload my wallet. So I did so and let it sync over night and got an error message after there was about 17k blocks left to go. What is wrong? also, can I fix it?

I think I deleted all the files in the /AppData/Roaming/dogecoin/ (or what ever the path was) apart from the wallet to fix that error. That said, please back up your wallet before attempting such a thing or you might loose your luckycoins.

243 GB of free space, so that's not the issue

It's an error you get when trying to download the blockchain after upgrading to qt 1.4. Close down the client > navigate to > C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\DogeCoin > delete "database" folder > delete "blk0001.dat" & "blkindex.dat" > restart the qt client

That'll delete the existing blockchain and start downloading the new one. Around when 1.4 was released the blockchain forked (creating 2 different block chains) and some just fixed itself and others have to re-download the bockchain.
