Good settings for obs studio

I'm looking for good settings for obs studio, since it lags a lot when I try to stream. I have a ryzen 5 1600, 16 gigs of ram, and a gtx 1080. I'm not using 2 systems because i'm just starting out. I play fortnite and overwatch, so if anyone knows what settings to use, please tell me.

What are your current settings? What is cpu usage like? What encoder are you using?

cpu usage is at like 17 percent for some reason. Im using nvenc

is the stream dropping frames?

The stream just freezes. I guess I could try x264 but it's probably gonna be worse.

what x264 settings, you should be able to easily use x264 here.

5000 bitrate for video

what x264 speed setting? have you tried running the quick setup again and using those settings?

the inital setup, it should auto pick settings for you. SHould show up when first installed. Id also install the newest version if you havent already.

 

try very fast.

Ok i'll try very fast. I believe I already have the latest version though.
