hi guys i recently installed a corsair H100i cpu cooler but i have accidently installed the upside down on the top of the case so its pulling air in not pushing it out, everywhere i read it says it should be installed with the air pushing out the case if the radiator is installed on the top, my cpu is running fine and stays around 65 degrees under load, apart from having the rgb lights being on the wrong side is there any problem having the fans this way or should i turn the around?

Thanks

You should probably turn those fans around, you want to push air through radiators and not pull it. When that GPU and CPU get pushed the CPU is going to heat up and the case will become very warm on the inside.

Push or pull doesn't matter in the slightest to the radiator, you'll get basically the same results either way.

You might end up with slightly more dust in the case, but you probably aren't going to experience any other issues with it.

I did think that but but my cpu and gpu temps are fine both around 65 degrees while gaming (BF5), would i get cooler cpu temps with the fans the other way around??

Your CPU temps probably won't improve, your GPU might run slightly cooler though.

You should be perfectly fine. You'll be going for more of a very positive air pressure system, but that's not a bad thing. You can flip the fans around, if you'd like to see dem sexy RGB goodness a bit better, especially if you have other intake fans bringing in that nice cool air. Otherwise, if you have a fan or two pulling hot air out of the system, you're good.

I have 3 x 120mm fans on the front of the case and a 120mm exhaust fan on the back

Yeah, you should be perfectly fine. Lots of positive pressure, but that simply means you're making those air filters do their job. Make sure you clean them out every 1-3 months, depending on how dusty the environment is(keep an eye on them to see how often they are getting dirty, giving the interior a spray with a can of air a few times a year is an awesome way to take care of it).

BF5 isn't exactly the most intensive game depending on settings, GPU etc. etc. You may not have an OC running but long sessions of very intensive games like AC odyssey will definitely get some heat buildup in there.

In a case with an RTX card? I would not want to be pulling air in that will get sucked up by the GPU, get replaced by heat and then travel up towards the rad. Heat rises ?‍♂️

Heat rises, but fans don't care what way the air would normally go. The GPU would probably be running hotter though.

70% stock freq? Most modern FPS titles don't pin a system like open world games will because there's not as much to interact with, explore, render etc.

yeah i7700k stock, (will be overclocking soon) i have only played BF5 since having this gpu so will look at a few open world games and see what happens

Ahh that's why was gonna say. My 9600k only hits that kind of usage in really demanding games. COD/BF are easy on it w/ max settings and an OC.

Any proof for that? Performancewise there's no significant difference. Sure, depends on fin density, specific fans, rpms etc but push or pull doesn't make a significant difference that exceeds the margin of error. Pull offers the advantage of not having dust between fans and radiator but on the easily accessible outside. Potential dust build up will have a far greater impact on a radiators performance. A case is too small though to have the air on the inside have big temperature differences. You will need some exhausts though if the case isn't designed for positive pressure.

One exhaust and 5 intakes? I'd think about switching around. How about front as exhaust and back and top as intake? You'd need toadd a filter for the rear fan assuming there isn't already a filter isntalled.
