Posted January 30, 2019 I'd get the i7 8700 over the i5 9600K any day, but if you want to overclock you gonna need the 8700K to do it properly. If you don't want to overclock do save up with a b360 chipset micro-atx board and 2666mhz memory. Either ways the i7 8700 IS ENOUGH CPU FOR THE RTX 2080 whoever says it isn't is wrong, just think for a second the locked i7 8700 stock still outperforms the Ryzen 5 2600X at 4.2ghz with 3200mhz memory.
