the vega 64 is only 400 now? @LukeSavenije damn thats a better deal than it was...

however for the op, we kinda should know what resolution they want to game at... @BstatsWoo what resolution do you intend on using?

yes... much better. but keep in mind that both the chip and the board are locked for overclocking

I'd get the i7 8700 over the i5 9600K any day, but if you want to overclock you gonna need the 8700K to do it properly.

If you don't want to overclock do save up with a b360 chipset micro-atx board and 2666mhz memory.

Either ways the i7 8700 IS ENOUGH CPU FOR THE RTX 2080 whoever says it isn't is wrong, just think for a second the locked i7 8700 stock still outperforms the Ryzen 5 2600X at 4.2ghz with 3200mhz memory.

I think the 2080/vega 64/1080 ti is a fair choise then, you should be able to get even more in most games. you liked what I listed above?

calm down Cadence, calm down. we all know... I just personally think the 9600k is enough too and is a better deal in my eyes, but opinions may vary

yeah... but there are some rumors about how many there will be made... only the hbm2 memory in it would cost 300-350 dollars on it's own

Pretty much yeah, and the psu. Go for what proposed or something similar. You could also check PSU TIER LIST 3.0 under @LukeSavenije  comments

the motherboard isn't good

I have my doubts about that psu, need a model number for that

nvme is useless for gaming

I would personally choose a case with built in rgb fans like the mb511

I would personally get a z390 board and a 9600k

change out for a vega, as it is cheaper and you only miss out on some features, but you pay like half the price

I have never heared of aftershock before
