Finally upgraded!

Long story short I've had my computer I built since 2013 with an FX8350 and HD7950 that I spent about $1500 on. In November I replaced the GPU with an RX 580 Armor 8GB.

Today I just purchased a new Zen+ Mobo, cpu, and RAM setup. 

It just amazes me how much cheaper the price to performance has gotten in 6 years. I spent ~$640 on parts far superior than my $1500 build.

I decided to buy now with the Zen+ and upgrade later this year once Zen2 releases and sell the 2600.

for $140 Asus and Gigabyte are totally happy to sell people a low end board with mid range board looks. Asrock's X370 Taichi do stir things up though

bad luck. I've broke the fans on my Asus graphics card twice, at the end I replaced them with my case fans instead

First time with an MSI board. My last one was the gigabyte 990 ud3 rev 3. There b450 gaming pro carbon was the best bang for the buck I could find regarding the power phases, referencing this chart below. The aorus gaming 7 is too much mobo for me and not a big fan of Asus.

I think having 5 defective boards of different types is a little more than bad luck, and points to poor craftsmanship.
