Corsair c70 Arctic White

roid

Hey not really anything too special compared to some other builds, but I really have enjoyed it thus far. Ive been upgrading my pc for the past two years went from a gen2 asrock a770de+ mobo, amd dual core, and ddr2 ram to all gen 3 components. I just finished putting in the last upgrade and it has really drastically improved in every way. The biggest difference I have seen is playing games I had a huge bottleneck about a year ago putting a 660ti on that gen2 mobo and dual core cpu. I used to get tops 40fps and in cpu intense games id only get about 20fps or less. With the 3570k I got about six months ago I play all games on highest settings and usually dont drop below 30fps. The only thing that really was annoying was how loud my gpu got when under load. The 660ti with dual fans sounds like a jet engine in my old coolmaster elite 430 case. Now that I just got the Corsair C70 with 10 fans installed my gpu never passes 65 degrees Celsius and 55% fan speed. My gpu temp in the coolmaster would go to about 75 degrees Celsius at loud, not bad but really loud with fans going at 60-70%. All my temps went down in my case going from the coolmaster to the corsair, except my cpu. I set up the fans so that they are intaking air in the front of my chassis and exhausting the air through the top and back. In the coolmaster i set up my h100i watercooler so that i was intaking air at the top to cool the radiator and it seems that was better at cooling my cpu than the double exhaust fans that I have setup now. I am pretty surprised how much the extra 5 fans are cooling the rest of my components the corsair c70 really does a good job circulating the air.The cable management wires behind the motherboard on the back panel are great, really looks organized and clean. The only problem I had was with my PSU's 8pin cpu power cable I couldnt reach it going through the back of the panel so I just decided to hid it under the gpu which worked out pretty well. I would definitely recommend the case to anyone who wants to cool their gpu down more without needing to buy a watercooler. The corsair c70 is a really big case perfect for adding multiple gpus for sli or crossfire config. It has more than enough hdd/sdd bays, about 10 120mm fan slots, and 4 140mm slots perfect if you have a 140mm fan radiator. I wouldnt recommend this case if your looking for a small light case, but there are pretty good carrying handles mounted on the top which is convenient for lans and moving it around.

My desk, just noticed I really need to organize the wires outside my rig..

I wish I didn't have a dual-core... My CPU is from 2007.... Nice build, though. Love the C70.

C70 FTW! Very nice, but the side panel fans may not be that necessary.

Haha probably not, but definitely more merrier.
