AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Build

Jbhul

Hello Everyone,

I'm building a new computer with a mix of new hardware and salvaged hardware from my two-year-old computer (I left for college and my SSD died so I repurposed the computer as a server for my dad's business, which needed a new one anyway).

For the specs, I have a Ryzen 5 2600, 2x16GB Corsair Vengence DDR4 (old), GTX 1060 6G (old), 1x256GB Samsung 850 Pro (old from server RAID array), 2x8TB WD HDD. For the PSU I'll just get something 80+ Bronze from a reputable company, probably a Corsair CXM 550.

I want a smaller form factor for my computer so I was thinking an mATX mobo, either the ASRock B450M Pro4 (https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B450M Pro4/index.asp#Specification) or the MSI B450 Gaming Plus (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B450M-GAMING-PLUS/Specification) at an $80 or $80-20 MIR price point respectively.

I don't know which of the two motherboards is better to go with, essentially if the extra $20 for the ASRock is worth it. I also don't know which case I should get, I'm looking for something reasonably compact and sleek but don't want to shell out too much for the case.

Thanks In Advance

Whats the speed of the RAM? Ryzen performs better with lower latency, fast RAM. You could pick up one of the B450M motherboards from MSI. The Mortar and Bazooka are pretty good (mortar is better though).
