Older versions of Photoshop (non-subscription based)

I am on the fence of buying photoshop for building personal projects.

But I really do not have the money to pay for the latest version.

I am a newbie when it comes to graphics design, and I think a lot of the advanced features in the latest version will have 0 meanings to me.

Where can I purchase a relatively cheaper and older version of photoshop and basically use it from now on.

I don't want other softwares like GIMP etc.

I think that I asked this questions a couple of years ago at this forum, but I couldn't find the thread.

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.

Wouldn't go with anything older than CS6. Make sure it's a 64-bit version. I think CS5 and older also had 32-bit versions, which won't work after Mojave.

Best bet is probably eBay.

can CS6 activate offline? I feel like i might remember something about it starting to require an Adobe ID (or was it the later updates to CS6?) o_o

Good point.  I really don't know.  I got mine through...other means.  Pretty sure it can though I would have to check on my machine at home.

torrents Legally available, cheaper/older versions of Photo Shop are going to be the best options for you. Either through Ebay or a dedicated software reseller site.

Lie about being a student. They don't ask for your student ID, university email or anything. Simply ask you what month and year you'll graduate.

I pay like £17.00 for Photoshop and a few others a month.
