Call of duty games. What’s your favorite?

Most people regard MW2 as the best of all time. Others say it’s 4 because it was the first to have custom classes & whatnot. 

 

Ignoring what did what first as most call of duty are the same. Between call of duty 2’s grounded combat, modern warfare 2’s blockbuster campaign, world at war zombies, and black ops 4’s battle royal, there’s lots of great features from each game that makes it quite distinct. 

Whats your favourite and why? 

 

Personally I love MW3 because of its spec ops survival. No other game really satiates a long term fix like survival does imo. 

 

Otherwise I would have chosen MW2 because its campaign is stellar. I can only play MW2’s campaign so many times without getting bored though.

Probably Black Ops. I guess it's a mixture of nostalgia, and that I really do think it had some great maps and OK gun balancing. 

Of course, there's also Zombies, which I spend countless hours playing with my friends. 

 

But I will say that Black Ops IV is tempting, and it's actually drawing me towards buying a CoD game for the first time in a while.

I got MW2 then COD4...Cod4 is my all time favorite. It really had the atmosphere with the campaign and that flowed really well with the multiplayer maps too. There were some slower paced servers where you could really get into it.

 

MW2 campaign was good multiplayer was okay but hacks and presteging were rampant.

 

MW3 campaign was good and tied up the whole story very nicely. I never really got into multiplayer as I transitioned to BF3 then BF4 and now I just play single player simulation games, with the occasional Insurgency cooperative mode.

Of course CoD4 had some great times with friends. But Ghosts was my personal favorite mainly due to the reinforce gamemode.

MW2 was my favorite because snipers were actually viable without quick scoping nonsense. Also dual deagles or magnums were super fun as well. I would have to say my second favorite is a tie between call of duty 3 and WAW. I had alot of fun playing zombies with friends in WAW while call of duty 3 was fun to just mess around in. Most of the time playing call of duty 3 was just pure shenanigans trying to run people over in cars and glitching into house attics.

I owned all PC versions until Advanced warfare and my favorite are in order :

1 - Call of Duty 2

2 - Call of Duty 4 : Modern Warfare 2

3 - Call of Duty 1

 

For me it's very black and white. Those 3 i loved them and all the others i found them pretty ordinary / non evolutive.
