why 2 monitors?
wouldn't it make more sense to ony get 1 monitor and then invest that saved money into a better gpu?
(and maybe a better case or motherboard)
there is nothing else i could suggest really other than the monitor thingy

Current build: Ryzen 7 1700x, asus prime x370-pro, 16gb gskill trident z rgb, asus rog strix gtx 1070 ti, corsair rm650x, nzxt s340 elite, samsung 840 pro 256gb, 1.5tb hdd.

1. Gaming on two monitors is gonna look bad, modern games don't like having the middle part of the screen hidden behind the edges of the monitor. If one of the screen isnt going to display the actual game but something else (guides, YT videos, whatever) then get something better in colour reproduction (basically some 60Hz IPS panel monitor), so you can use different monitors to suit different tasks.

2. 1080p 144Hz without DP support is kinda bad moving forwards since they can only get 1080p 144Hz with DVI connection, but less and less new cards support DVI natively. The GN246HL doesnt have DP.

3. Not knowing the exact board is bad. You havent picked it, or you havent checked availability in your region?

4. The PSU, don't buy that. Get something tier C or higher. 500W is already enough, no need to go overkill.

Would the Asus VG248QE 24" work?

I initially picked out the ASRock b450m Pro4, which is now out of stock, but the ASRock Fatal1ty and Asus Prime also seem like good choices.

Should I bother with full modularity?

maybe a better case

"Better"
The Q300L is a steal in its price category.
Potential for rads, lots of fan places, air filters.
And a modern design which is rare for cases under 40€

I am here to learn, please correct me if im wrong or you see me putting bs on your screen!

Yes, but reviews show that it has a strong colour bias to blue so be aware.

no, semi-modular excludes the ATX 24pin and CPU 8pin from being modular which is fine because your system wont run without them.
