Ryzen 7 2700X keep crashing

Specs

Ryzen 7 2700X

X470 Aorus Gaming 5 WiFi

16GB DDR4 Tridentz

GTX 1060 6GB

EVGA Supernova G3 650W

NZXT Kraken X62

WHAT IS GOING ON WITH MY CPU. So I got my 2700X in October 2018 and it has been a living hell. Is my CPU a lemon or just shit.

My 2700X has been crashing a lot recently for no reason especially under light loads and it not temps as its clocking in at 40c. For example I opened file explorer only for my CPU jump to 100% (My keyboard says) followed by a full freeze. which is forcing me to shut my PC off. This has been happening a lot for no reason on multiple different applications. I don't know what to add. I never had any of these issues on my 4790.

what clockspeed does the ram run at?
did you enable xmp profiles?

Because this looks to me as ram instability

(atleast it looks the same as my symptoms when i had a similar issue)

Current build: Ryzen 7 1700x, asus prime x370-pro, 16gb gskill trident z rgb, asus rog strix gtx 1070 ti, corsair rm650x, nzxt s340 elite, samsung 840 pro 256gb, 1.5tb hdd.

Maybe some hidden malware running in the background?

Do a virus test or try to install a fresh copy of Windows if you still haven't tried...

Ram runs at 3200MHz. xmp should be enabled.

i'd start by lowering the ram speed to say 2933mhz just to see what happens.
if that becomes stable, keep increasing it slightly with testing inbetween until it becomes unstable then back down to the fastes setting that didnt make it unstable
when stable run memtest

Current build: Ryzen 7 1700x, asus prime x370-pro, 16gb gskill trident z rgb, asus rog strix gtx 1070 ti, corsair rm650x, nzxt s340 elite, samsung 840 pro 256gb, 1.5tb hdd.
