Looking for a 1440p, 27", 144 Hz non-TN monitor

kingmustard

I had an Asus ROG SWIFT PG278QR (TN, 165 Hz, G-Sync, 1ms, 1000:1, 300 cd/m2) but the panel was rubbish compared to my two AOC Q2577PWQ (IPS) monitors.

I'll never go TN again.

So I looked at alternative panel types to TN and it appears there are really only two: VA and IPS.

I believe these are my options:

Any thoughts?

I have a BenQ 1440p IPS monitor thats 60hz and I just upgraded to the Asus VG279Q. Its a downgrade in resolution but an upgrade in refresh rate (144hz) , response time (3ms and 1MSRP) and it has freesync. Its only 1080P BUT its the only 1080P monitor that rocks an IPS display with this spec list. I absolutely love this monitor I've been using it for a little over a week now and the amount of settings they offer to customize the picture settings is amazing and the color is great as well. Its something to consider.

Im using a Asus MG279Q Its not the best IPS panel but its pretty good. I bought it a few years ago so there might be some better options by now.

I do reccomend getting an IPS pannel though. Unless its an exeptional VA panel.

I've removed the VA panels.

It appears the Gigabyte Aorus AD27QD is my best shot.
