9900k 5ghz cooling

Hello guys I just overclocked my 9900k to 5ghz on all cores

Just wondering if my x52 will be able to keep up with the heat? I have the fans swapoed out for 2 Corsair ll120

Or should I change my aio to something better?

The LL120's are probably better than the NZXT fans on the AIO. I don't think the X52 is enough, being only a 240mm AIO, but run some tests like the free version of AIDA 64 and post your temps in here after the stress test is done.

Something that you can do to help is slapping some noctua fans on the rad, that should help.

those max temps are too high for just aida64, i'd just lower it to 4.9 and settle there, not worth changing cooler for 100mhz.

should i keep it the same voltage or what? thanks!

And if i were to change my cooler, which cooler would you recommend from corsair?

im really digging the look of Hydro Series™ H100i RGB PLATINUM SE 240mm Liquid CPU Cooler, but im not sure about its cooler performance, thanks!

You want to lower it as much as possible, lower it in tiny increments and run aida64 each time until it crashes, once it crashes, bump it back up one increment and run the test a few times to ensure stability.

you can probably lower the voltage by 2% of whatever it is you have on 5ghz, maybe a bit more, the cooler choice depends on your needs, i'd ONLY go for AIO if i want looks first, i've gone from air cooling, to aio, back to air cooling.

the 2 disadvantages of AIO is the lack of airflow on the mobo vrm and unreliable pumps. I'd stick with 4.9 and the current cooler unless you really like the AIO you are looking at :)

The only z390 motherboards i'd use without airflow to the vrm+AIO is probably from gigabyte, so it also depends on what motherboard you are already using.
