That is actually why I got an EVGA card, I know they have a really good warranty service.

GTAV reports 8GB, as normal, however I don't think it ever goes above that 3.9GB threshold.

Contact EVGA. They'll get a new card before you can even take the old one out of your system.

Hello everyone,

A couple of weeks ago I noticed that my monitor, an ASUS VG248QE, seemed to show an artifacted image every once in a while. I didn't pay any attention to it, and thought it was just a bug. Since then, My games keep crashing due to being "out of VRAM" when only 3.9-4.1GB were used. I have already ran DDU to uninstall and reinstall drivers, I've tried reinstalling MSI afterburner, and Geforce experience. The GPU also shows these artifacts in games sometimes, more frequently than normal desktop use. I cannot find a VRAM testing application that was made in the last 10 years, and want to know if there is any way to tell if it is the VRAM or something else. Thanks.

P.S. I ran the MSI Kombustor "artifact scanner" for a while and came up with nothing, all clocks are at stock and voltages are as well.

To me, it sounds like the GPU is dying, though I could be wrong.

It's possible, however I believe it is a RAM issue due to the issues after 3.9GB. It folds just fine when I'm not using it, and is successfully returning work units.

It is an EVGA. I would call them up or toss them an email. They will get you a new card in no time.

I can't really think of something that'll let you check... I know there are games that show how much "video memory" you have, like GTA V. That's the only thing I can think of.

Haha, I guess I should. Thanks everyone, this is probably an issue I can't fix without voiding the warranty, so I might as well use the warranty.
