replacing graphics card with same model - DDU needed?

Hey

is a DDU needed when I have to replace my

 

Asus Rog Strix 2070 OC with the very same card?

I bought one myself, got the card now for half price from a friend.
So I have to be a dick and send the card back in to return my money.


Do I have to use DDU now or not, since all that should be different is the serial number on it I guess?

If it's the same brand of GPU you're fine. You really only need to use DDU when you're switching from a nvidia to amd card (or vice versa).
