What do you want to do with the computer?

If you're gaming and strictly gaming - 8700k

If you intend on doing a mix of productivity and some gaming: 2700x

If adobe creative suite - 8700k.

It all really depends

I can go already with it on the internet with it. wye I would buy a amd for it? if Intel is better for gaming i know.  Only to safe money and put money in the other components?

Just gaming and stuff but no photoshop. I'm a Intel fan and they said to me today, wye not the AMD? and so on he would put in Samsung 500 ssd because it's price per GB is the best. what stupid if i need min a 240 ssd and look to better other components.

If you're trying to save money, go get a 2600. Its a cheap chip thats good for gaming with a socket that has long term support

Would it not a little bit smarter to stick to K or X. If i want to have the best deal for gaming. And enjoy longer with the it like they said in store instead of non K.

Ok, let me see if i understand.

You want to know if if it is worth buying an AMD chip as opposed to intel. If you are doing strictly gaming i would say yes. I do alot of multicore work (tons of CADD and video render) i would rather have the cores. Plus the newer AMD chips are very close in performance of the intel chips, and Ryzen 2 is around the corner. I would recommend waiting if you can.

Secondly yes, an SSD will speed up your system alot (especially boot times). Is the Samsung the cheapest? No. It is one of the more reliable and has pretty good transfer rates. I like the Crucial MX500 myself.

If you want the best for gaming you want a 9900k.

The k means the chip is unlocked and you can overclock it, and the x for the ryzen chips means it has a higher clock out of the box.

Between the 8700k and 2700 for gaming get the 8700k. If you don't want to overclock, still get the 8700k.

both are good for gaming, but at what resolution and refresh rate?

roughly

1080p/60/75/120/144 = 2700

1440p/60/75/120 = 2700

2160p+ = 8700k

BTW the 2700x is the same as the regular 2700 but with a slightly higher clock.

except you'll have to replace it in 2-3 years, minor inconvenience they call it, also the price*GB rate is pretty much the worse out there... still rocking a 7 yr old Crucial as secondary drive for games.

ASUS X470-PRO • R7 1700 4GHz • Corsair H110i GT P/P • 2x MSI RX 480 8G • Corsair DP 2x8 @3466 • EVGA 750 G2 • Corsair 730T • Crucial MX500 250GB • WD 4TB

not really and you loose upgradability without swapping motheboard.

id highly suggest grabbing a Ryzen 5 2600 and spend the leftovers on a RTX 2080 instead. it would be the better course of action

Yeah but i was asking a different user. SSDs will not last 2-3 years unless something goes horribly wrong, but much much longer.

Higher clock speed is more needed than high core counts for most games at this current time, I'm not sure for future games..

But for this one, it will utilizing higher core and higher threads counts CPU in the future updates..

I'm a little bit confused now

Will i buy

Intel 8700K

Or Amd RYZEN 7 2700X

Neither

Get a 2600 or so and save the money for when the 3000 series is out.

Upgrading the 8700k is something you can forget. Makes no sense in a year or two as there are no new/better CPUs available and the ones available are rediculously expensive - like 6700K or 7700K right now.

It's the other way around, lower resolutions result in higher FPS, which in result requires more CPU power to deal with it.
