So I have an AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Processor that runs a 4.1ghz overclock with stability. Would an i7 6700K with let's say a 4.5ghz OC be able to outperform the R5 in gaming. If so, by how much? Would it be able to beat the R5 in productivity and video editing. Which would be better overall for the price? I'm just curious. :):)

It's rather close in gaming

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I need?

Depends on the game engine, but you're almost assuredly GPU bound before that.

boy it's been a while since i thought about OC on a 6700k. As I recall, my delidded Skylake hit 4.8 GHz all core fairly responsibly under an AIO on a Z170-A board. I agree 10%, though perhaps is conservative, but really it depends on the title. Productivity there's no contest. the 8 threads of Skylake vs the 12 cores of Zen... it'll fall behind. I have some CB15 scores up here somewhere, maybe the classified thread for my CPU. 2600x gets in the 1400's whereas i think my Skylake was in the low 1000's.
